Hi! I’m Lourdes Martinez

I’m an educator who has always loved supporting teachers. My journey began in 1990 in El Paso, Texas, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Education from UTEP, followed by a Master’s in Elementary Administration from NMSU. Over the past 35 years, I’ve served as a classroom teacher, reading interventionist, and most recently, an Instructional Coach. Each role has deepened my passion for language arts instruction and for helping both students and teachers succeed.

The vision for this site grew from my years of coaching teachers through Tier 1 instruction and interventions, where I saw firsthand how clear, well-designed lesson plans can spark growth and confidence. Lulu’s Lessons is my way of continuing that support—providing thoughtful, ready-to-use resources that save teachers time, strengthen instruction, and lay a solid foundation for student learning.
